The Author
Well I guess that’s me then.
I’m Chris. I’m a Civil Engineer, no that doesn’t mean I have to be nice to you all the time.
My Work
I work on construction sites for McPhillips [Wellingtion] Ltd, a medium sized family based company in and around the Midlands.
You will find me most days wading through mud and rubble, bashing pegs into the ground or making a mess spraying paint onto the ground. My job is a simple one, read and understand the multitude of drawings for a new projects, decipher them where appropriate and translate them into physical guides and markings to enable the project to be built.
My Play
Over the recent few years I have been lucky enough to get involved in a regular winter holiday. Since the first moment stepping onto the hard-packed snow and strapping a single wooden plank to my feet I’ve fallen head-over-heels (sometimes literally) for Snowboarding. With my own kit these days all I require is a decent offer of piste and I would happily jet off to any cold, high-altitude location to slide down a mountain in style.
Being an engineer I’m a little partial to Lego, yes you heard me! After spending most of my childhood playing with the basic stuff I have found a rekindling of my passion for building using little plastic bricks. My modern day projects are solely Star Wars Collectables, so you may find me talking about Lego once in a while.
